READ ME File For 'Dataset in support of the Southampton doctoral thesis: Computational Fluid-Structure Interaction of Membranes and Shells with Application to Bat Flight' Dataset DOI: 10.5258/SOTON/D2557 ReadMe Author: Marin Lauber, University of Southampton ORCID ID 0000-0003-2191-9318 This dataset supports the thesis entitled Computational Fluid-Structure Interaction of Membranes and Shells with Application to Bat Flight AWARDED BY: Univeristy of Southampton DATE OF AWARD: 2023 DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA The data contains all the results file (.csv, .npy and .9) used to perform the analysis presented in the thesis the support. Python scripts are also provided, which generates the figures and perform the analysis. The environment.yml file contains all the packages and their version used to generate the figures and perform the analysis. The dataset also contains the input file (.f90, .inp) for the solver, together with some python scripts that start some of the simulations. This dataset contains: *environment.yml contains the detail of the conda environment required to perform the analysis. *Bat-Wing/* contains all the results files and the analysis file to generate the results related to the numerical simulation of bat flight. *1D-Piston/* contains all the results file and the analysis file to generate the results related to the 1D-pisotn problem presented in Chapter 1. *Disk-Results/* contains the results files and the scripts to generate the figures and the analysis presented in chapter3, thin immersed disk. *Flapping-Flag/* contains the results files and the scripts to generate the figures and the analysis for the validation case of the flapping flag. *Insect-Wing/* contains the results files and the scripts to generate the figures and the analysis for the validation case of the Insect-Wing. *Introduction-Figures/* contains the scripts to generate the figures in the introduction of the thesis. *Membrane-Wing/* contains the results files and the scripts to generate the figures and the analysis for the validation case of the membrane wing. *Oscillating-Sphere/* contains the results files and the scripts to generate the figures and the analysis for the validation case of the oscillating sphere. *Taylor-green/* contains the results files and the scripts to generate the figures and the analysis for the validation case of the taylor green vortex.
