Progress in high power single emitter fiber sources

Progress in high power single emitter fiber sources
Progress in high power single emitter fiber sources
There is a continued rapid progress in fiber and diode technology for high power fiber lasers. We will report our work on multi-kW fiber lasers at 1.1 µm and narrow-line fiber MOPAs for beam combination. An Er:Yb co-doped fiber laser at 1550 nm with 0.3 kW of output power will also be discussed, together with prospects for further power scaling.

Abstract

There is a continued rapid progress in fiber and diode technology for high power fiber lasers. We will report our work on multi-kW fiber lasers at 1.1 µm and narrow-line fiber MOPAs for beam combination. An Er:Yb co-doped fiber laser at 1550 nm with 0.3 kW of output power will also be discussed, together with prospects for further power scaling.
