Dataset supporting the University of Southampton Doctoral thesis "Speech-in-noise performance in hearing-impaired listeners assessed using evoked responses and enhanced using tactile stimulation".
Dataset supporting the University of Southampton Doctoral thesis "Speech-in-noise performance in hearing-impaired listeners assessed using evoked responses and enhanced using tactile stimulation".
This dataset supports the Doctoral thesis by Samuel Perry (2020). Speech-in-noise performance in hearing-impaired listeners assessed using evoked responses and enhanced using tactile stimulation.
The dataset reflects data collected and used to support Chapters 3 to 6 of the thesis. Chapter_3*.csv contains the data presented for the delta, theta and wideband conditions in chapter 3, including correlation, participant identifier and condition types. Chapter_4*.csv contains the data presented for the delta, theta and wideband conditions, for both the unaided hearing impaired and normal hearing participants. Data includes the correlation, participant identifier and condition types. Chapter_5_data.csv contains pitch discrimination scores for each repeat of each participant in all conditions (audio only, audio-tactile and tactile only; no noise, -5 dB SNR and -7.5 dB SNR)
Chapter_6_data.csv contains percent correct scores for all participants, both before and after training. Data includes participant identifier, percent correct, test list number, talker type and condition.
