Compact and low-power comb-locked transmitter based on ITLA tuneable lasers
Compact and low-power comb-locked transmitter based on ITLA tuneable lasers
We suggest and demonstrate a radically new approach to generate frequency-locked optical carriers. It provides for a low-power-consumption, self-starting and stable fibre comb operating across the entire C-band. We phase lock commercially-available Integrated-Tunable-Laser-Assembly (ITLA) lasers to the comb with arbitrary and fully tuneable spectral spacing.

Abstract
We suggest and demonstrate a radically new approach to generate frequency-locked optical carriers. It provides for a low-power-consumption, self-starting and stable fibre comb operating across the entire C-band. We phase lock commercially-available Integrated-Tunable-Laser-Assembly (ITLA) lasers to the comb with arbitrary and fully tuneable spectral spacing.
