As developments in Artificial Intelligence progress at pace, alongside media coverage of what the societal impact of this could be, we bring together in this edition of Re:action the plethora of experts we are so proud to have at Southampton who are leading the charge in this field.
Whilst we drive forward the technical advancements in AI, we must also ensure the systems we are building can be used to improve our lives in a responsible and trustworthy way. Our experts and researchers are doing just that.
We are incredibly proud of Professor Gopal Ramchurn and colleagues who are taking the helm of the UK’s Responsible and Trustworthy AI Hub through a £31 Million grant from UKRI, affirming Southampton’s calibre and position in the AI arena.
