READ ME File Dataset DOI: 10.5258/SOTON/D2760 ReadMe Author: Clarissa Lord, University of Southampton, https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9413-3466 This dataset supports the thesis entitled Self-states, attachment and dissociation: relationships and measurement AWARDED BY: University of Southampton DATE OF AWARD: 2023 DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA Secondary data was used in this study - which consisted of a total of 408 participants responses to the D-ISS Scale collected as part of a previous doctoral study by Katherine Smart (2021) Investigation into the Relationships Between Childhood Trauma and Borderline Personality Disorder . The data is quantitative online survey data. Participants were between the ages of 16-25 years of age; all had mental health problems; roughly half were diagnosed. The data was stored on Excel, SPSS was used for analysis (SPSS Statistics for Windows, Version 29.0). Ethical approval was granted for access to the data (ERGO: 71854.A1)(ERGO ID: 72890) This dataset contains: Collected data - This data set is a total of 383 participants (89 from general population, 294 students) responses to three different measures (D-ISS Scale, WDS & DES-II) at Time 1 and 164 participants at Time 2, however only 77 of these participants had matching IDs which could be linked and used as data. Participants were adults aged eighteen and over and all had to have experienced mental health difficulties at some point during their life. The data has been stored on Excel, SPSS was used for analysis (SPSS Amos Version 29.0).
