The three files for each species contain the data for the 1) fish response, 2) incidence of injury and 3) intensity of injury after experimental exposure to rapid decompression with different Ratios of Pressure Change (RPC). The effects of simulated hydropower turbine rapid decompression on two Neotropical fish species. Science of the Total Environment. DOI: 10.1016/j.scitotenv.2023.166770 -------------------------- DATA-SPECIFIC INFORMATION -------------------------- Within the files the abbreviations used are as follows: Haem = haemorrhage Emb = emboli (specifically a gas bubble) Exo = exophthalmia Lat Line = lateral line PC Mem = pharyngo-clitheral membrane Ext = external SB = swim bladder BCav = body cavity Int = internal Rupt = rupture Stom = stomach Bub = bubbles Operc = operculum Sol = solids Orient = orientation (i.e. loss of orientation) Imp = impaired Swim = swimming Swal = swallowed Within the injury intensity files the data is proportion of the organ showing that injury type and is a percent score. Within the injury incidence files to the scores are binary and represent if the fish exhibited that injury type. Within the fish response files the scores are the proportion of the fish in that trial that exhibited that response. See methods section in the associated manuscript (Kerr et al., 2023.
