The quantities are saved in .mat files whose labels are explained below. 1. The file "DragDataConfig1.mat" and "DragDataConfig2" contains a drag balance data for Config 1 and 2, respectively. The variable are a (1,9) variables with 1 being the average of 5 repetitions and 9 being the speeds: - Nu_MEAN: Air kinematic viscosity (m^2/s) - Re_MEAN: Unit Reynolds number - multiply by 3.2 m to get the measurement location Rex - Ut_MEAN: Friction velocity (m/s) - Cf_MEAN: Skin-friction coefficient - u_Ut_MEAN: Total uncertainty in the friction velocity (m/s) - u_cf_MEAN: Total uncertainty in skin-friction coefficient 2. The file "PIVProfiles.mat" contains spanwise (or streamwise) averages of wall-normal profiles from the PIV measurements - The file contains variable cells of (1,14) size with 1:7 being Config 1 and 8:14 are for Config 2 - X_proflie,Y_proflie The spanwise/streamwise and wall-normal coordinate matrices in (m) - see Table 3 from the paper for reference. - U_span_av: The time-spatial(stream or span directions, depending if planar or stereo) averaged streamwise (m/s) - Ruu,Rvv,Ruv_span_av: The time-spatial(stream or span directions, depending if planar or stereo) averaged Reynolds stresses (m/s) - Duu,Dvv,Duv_span_av: The time-spatial(stream or span directions, depending if planar or stereo) averaged dispersive stresses (m/s) - Tuu,Tvv,Tuv: The time-spatial(stream or span directions, depending if planar or stereo) averaged total stresses (m/s) 3. The file "AerodynamicParametersDat.mat" contains aerodynami roughness parameters presented in Table 4 The file contains the following: a - P_atm: Ambient pressure (mb) - T_atm: Ambient temperature (degC) - nu: Kinematic viscosity (m^2/s) - Uinf: Freestream speeds (m/s) - Utau,Utau_OLS,Utau_CSS: Friction velocity from the different methods (m/s) - zpd,zpd_OLS,zpd_CSS: Zero-plane displacement (m) - duplus,duplus_OLS,duplus_CSS: Roughness function - Wc,Wc_OLS,Wc_CSS: Wake strength parameters - ksand1,ksand1_DB,ksand1_OLS,ksand1_CSS: Equivalent sandgrain roughness height (m) for Config 1 - ksand2,ksand2_DB,ksand2_OLS,ksand2_CSS: Equivalent sandgrain roughness height (m) for Config 2 - delta: Boundary layer thickness (m) 4. The folder "Hom_Irreg_TBL_Exp_Barnacle_Medjnoun_2023" contains the biofouling rough surface and its statistical characteristics, with its documentation.
