Nonreciprocal radiation pattern metasurface transformer

Nonreciprocal radiation pattern metasurface transformer
Nonreciprocal radiation pattern metasurface transformer

This paper presents the concept of nonreciprocal radiation pattern metasurface transformer. The metasurface is placed on top of a source antenna, transforms the radiation pattern of the source antenna, introducing different radiation patterns for transmit and receive states. The metasurface is composed of an array of unit cells, each of which consist of receive and transmit antenna elements and a nonreciprocal phase shifter. The priliminary analytical results proves the operation and functionality of the metasurface transformer. The proposed metasurface transformer may presenst different interesting properties including radiation pattern tunability, angular sector and gain.
