Abstract
"Noise and the Blues" is a thought-provoking short film that explores the impact of noise pollution on our mental and physical well-being. The film starts in a busy, animated city, making it clear that noise is all around and has a big impact. Then, it takes us through different scenes, revealing the sources of noise pollution and how it affects our mental health, causing stress and sleep problems.
The story follows a young woman's struggles with noise-induced stress and anxiety, underscoring how noise pollution often goes unnoticed as a health hazard. As the character looks for peace in more tranquil settings, she decides to take action and researches ways to protect herself from noise pollution, leading to the use of earplugs and noise-cancelling headphones.
The film concludes with a call to action, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own approaches to noise pollution protection.
