Aesthetics and metaphysics in the meantime and nowhere: techno-medial opportunities for philosophy, politics and critique
In the sequence of terms that constitute this journal’s title, politics serves in the middle, or even medial position, not only with sequence but also conceptually. It is difficult to think of philosophy without critique and vice versa. But for many areas of inquiry, it is all too easy to think those terms without politics at all. Thus, the journal’s title invites speculation about the role of politics, if any, as it pertains to philosophy and/as critique.

Abstract

In the sequence of terms that constitute this journal’s title, politics serves in the middle, or even medial position, not only with sequence but also conceptually. It is difficult to think of philosophy without critique and vice versa. But for many areas of inquiry, it is all too easy to think those terms without politics at all. Thus, the journal’s title invites speculation about the role of politics, if any, as it pertains to philosophy and/as critique.
