The planar distribution of grain size in a polycrystalline ceramic

The planar distribution of grain size in a polycrystalline ceramic
The planar distribution of grain size in a polycrystalline ceramic
The planar distribution of grain size in polycrystalline magnesium oxide is accurately represented, over a wide range of average grain diameter, by a simple function of the square root of the grain diameter. An analysis of the experimental data shows that a similar function of the logarithm of the grain diameter does not fit them so well.

Abstract

The planar distribution of grain size in polycrystalline magnesium oxide is accurately represented, over a wide range of average grain diameter, by a simple function of the square root of the grain diameter. An analysis of the experimental data shows that a similar function of the logarithm of the grain diameter does not fit them so well.
