Details on the gravitational-wave emission from rotating gravitational collapse in 3D
We here provide details on the numerical study of the gravitational-wave emission from the gravitational collapse to black holes of rotating neutron stars in three dimensions. More specifically, we concentrate on the use of mesh-refined grids, either fixed or progressive, as well as on the use of the excision techniques and of the advantages that result when this is not employed.

Abstract
We here provide details on the numerical study of the gravitational-wave emission from the gravitational collapse to black holes of rotating neutron stars in three dimensions. More specifically, we concentrate on the use of mesh-refined grids, either fixed or progressive, as well as on the use of the excision techniques and of the advantages that result when this is not employed.
