READ ME File For 'PhD thesis: Enhancing the Efficacy of NovaMin for Dentine Hypersensitivity Through Particle Size Reduction and Enhanced Microbranch Tubule Mapping' Dataset DOI: 10.5258/SOTON/D3099 ReadMe Author: Miss Bethany J Harding, University of Southampton, ORCID ID: 0000-0002-8871-3683 This dataset supports the thesis entitled Enhancing the Efficacy of NovaMin for Dentine Hypersensitivity Through Particle Size Reduction and Enhanced Microbranch Tubule Mapping AWARDED BY: Univeristy of Southampton DATE OF AWARD: 2023 DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA This dataset contains: - Chapter 4.zip: TIFF image stacks of Serial Block Face Scanning Electron Microscopy images. Each individual file is a stack of several hundred images, and must be opened in ImageJ or other image processing software in order to be properly visualised. These are the processed images in black-and-white following processing detailed in the thesis. The raw image volumes are available on request, at the author's discretion. Excel spreadsheets of different quantitative values taken from each image stack for comparison between images - Chapter 5.zip: A macro openable in ImageJ for the identification of features on multiple windows for extraction and saving A spreadsheet containing quantitative data for this chapter. The images these measurements were taken from are available upon request, at the author's discretion. - Chapter 6.zip: Raw data files (.txt and .csv) of X-Ray diffraction, Glancing Angle X-Ray diffraction and Nanoindentation data, as well as spreadsheets where this data is compiled, displayed graphically, and processed.
