This chapter looks at the series of micro-lens photographs by Bashir Makhoul entitled Return in the context of Palestinian narratives of return. In particular it explores the notion of return in respect to the Isareli occupation, identifying what Hon regards as the spectral nature of the work and of the spectral nature of the idea of return itself.
