Linking addictive and obsessive-compulsive behaviors
Linking addictive and obsessive-compulsive behaviors

Addictive and obsessive-compulsive behaviors share a number of conceptual similarities and risk factors, indicating potential transdiagnostic mechanisms. This chapter reviews these similarities, with a focus on recent and/or novel perspectives. One such perspective is the interactive and dynamic relationships that exist across cognitive factors, emotions, behaviors, and their consequences.
