Problems sets in macroeconomics for engagement and inclusion
This chapter explores the importance of designing effective problem sets in macroeconomics education to enhance student engagement and learning experiences. The chapter explores insights and practical strategies for creating engaging and relevant problem sets that contribute to a dynamic learning environment. It emphasises the significance of integrating real-world applications and explores two resources that tend to be underutilised as teaching materials in economics: news articles and economic reports. It presents questions that contribute to bridge the gap between abstract economic theories and practical applications. By encouraging students to connect theoretical concepts with current events and societal issues, these problem sets promote critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of macroeconomic principles.
