### GENERAL INFORMATION

The data and code included in this dataset support the analyses presented in Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 of the University of Southampton doctoral thesis titled "Examining Large-Scale Interactions between Hazards, Exposure, and Vulnerability in Coastal Built Environments".

### CONTENTS

#### Chapter2_GIS_analysis.zip
This file contains the processed GIS layers used in the analysis for Chapter 2. It does not include the original or intermediate products. 
  - **Variables**: A folder that includes each of the layers used to create the master matrix.
  - **Matrix_Joins**: Contains the master matrix derived from the variables.

#### Chapter2_Code.zip
This file includes CSV files and Matlab scripts used to calculate the statistics and generate the plots presented in Chapter 2.

#### Chapter3_GIS_analysis.zip
This file includes the most relevant GIS layers and data for the spatial analysis conducted in Chapter 3.
  - **NewJersey**: Contains GIS data specific to the New Jersey case study.
  - **Florida**: Contains GIS data specific to the Florida case study.

#### Chapter3_Code.zip
This file contains various datasets and scripts used in the analysis for Chapter 3.
  - **Input_data**: Includes original and preprocessed tax records, as well as Consumer Price Index (CPI) numbers used to adjust the sale data.
  - **Output_Datasets**: Contains the processed data used in the analysis.
  - **Code**: Includes R and Matlab scripts used for the analysis.
