Results from the same individual can be identified by their participant no. which is consistent accross data files. Additional related data collected that was not included in the current data package: No additional data. If data was derived from another source, list source: The following data was collected from Cellma - Riomed Ltd healthcare information systems and archeved data from the previous software BCS(Bawtry Computer Services): Gender, Ethnicity, Cross sectional imaging, History of hearing loss, Cochlear Implant devices, Deviuce Failures, Surgical complications, CAP, SIR, BKB Data including, electrode deactivations, impedence measures, device usage, environemntal loudness and scene classification was exported from cochlear implant manufacturers software including MED-EL Maestro, Cochlear Custom Sound and Advanced Bionics Soundwave. -------------------------- METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION -------------------------- Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: All cochlear implant users under the care of USAIS with a diagnosis of MD in the USAIS electronic clinical records were identified. As part of a service evaluation, the cross-sectional imaging results for each of these individuals was reviewed against the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Inclusion criteria: • Cochlear implant user of any age who underwent implantation by USAIS. • Reported to have Mondini’s Dysplasia in their electronic patient record. • A cystic apex on cross sectional imaging and at least one other feature of MD including a widened vestibular aqueduct or vestibular enlargement. Exclusion Criteria: • Patients with widened vestibular aqueduct syndrome or a single feature of Mondini’s dysplasia. • Other inner ear malformations. • Normal cochlear anatomy. • Implanted at another cochlear implant centre. Methods for processing the data: Clinical data from the Cellma – RioMed healthcare information system and Bawtry Computer Services Electronic Patient record Archive were extracted into a spreadsheet by two independent researchers (CF) and (EA). Data fields extracted included: Sex, Date of Birth, Age of hearing loss, Pre/post lingual hearing loss, Congenital vs acquired, Age at which hearing was aided, Associated conditions, Temporal imaging modality and clinical report, Features of inner ear anatomy, Date of cochlear implantation, Age at cochlear implantation, Ears implanted, Cochlear implant manufacturer and model, Number of electrode contacts, Number of extra-cochlea electrodes, surgical complications, Hearing performance measures including CAP, SIR, BKB in Quiet and Adaptive BKB, Electrode impedance measures, Electrode deactivations, Cochlear implant use and environmental noise (Datalog). Data was stored and analysed in Microsoft Excel 365 v.2309. Software- or Instrument-specific information needed to interpret the data, including software and hardware version numbers: All data is submitted as comma seperated values (CSV) People involved with sample collection, processing, analysis and/or submission: C.
