The importance of exercise in maintaining a healthy lifestyle is well-recognised in both health and disease. This chapter will provide a contemporary overview of the best practice recommendations for exercise counselling for people with CF, as well as the evidence that underpins its use which may facilitate patient education regarding the importance of exercise. Several key articles have been published to provide evidence-based guidelines for physical activity and exercise prescription for people with CF.
