Greetings From the New Editor-in-Chief
Greetings From the New Editor-in-Chief
It is a pleasure and an honour both to become the Editor in Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Biometrics, Behavior and Identity Science (T-BIOM). This has become the journal of choice for researchers in its topical areas. This has been achieved by a combination of the leadership and direction of its previous Editors in Chief, Kevin Bowyer and Nalini Ratha, their Associate Editors in Chief and an excellent team of committed Area Editors (AEs) and with the excellent support of some IEEE staff and others, not forgetting many excellent papers. The position of the journal is in advance of where I and Mayank Vatsa thought it might be at this stage when our proposal for the establishment of T-BIOM was accepted at an IEEE Technical Activities Board meeting.
