Comments on theories of structural superplasticity
Comments on theories of structural superplasticity
The various theories of structural superplasticity are examined with reference to published experimental data. It is demonstrated that there is no theory which is consistent with all of the results, although four theories predict very similar, and essentially correct, steady-state strain rates in the region of optimal superplasticity. The major points of disagreement between the theories and experimental arise at low stress levels.

Abstract
The various theories of structural superplasticity are examined with reference to published experimental data. It is demonstrated that there is no theory which is consistent with all of the results, although four theories predict very similar, and essentially correct, steady-state strain rates in the region of optimal superplasticity. The major points of disagreement between the theories and experimental arise at low stress levels.
