Artificial intelligence … artworks, artists and artworlds
Artificial intelligence … artworks, artists and artworlds
The impact of artificial intelligence on the future of jobs is an ongoing conversation in mainstream and trade news, industry conferences, and policy making. Part of this concerns how cultural sector occupations are particularly safe or at risk. Whilst several prominent policy reports explore how “creativity” and “artists” are safe, the emergence of robot painters such as Ai Da – “the world’s first ultra realistic robot artist” – raise conceptual and critical questions around what it means to be artist or creative practitioner.
