Direct observation of associative behaviour by electrospray ionization: Self-assembly - Fact or fiction?
Direct observation of associative behaviour by electrospray ionization: Self-assembly - Fact or fiction?
Electrospray mass spectrometry has been used to observe non-covalently bound self-assembled structures for a variety of classes of compound. The formation of the assembled superstructures has been shown to be dependent on the sample composition but independent of sample concentration.
