READ ME File For 'Dataset for "Experimentally Modelling Urban Air Pollution and Measuring Turbulent Dispersion" Dataset DOI: 10.5258/SOTON/D3400 ReadMe Author: Tomos Rich, University of Southampton 0000-0002-6259-4225 This dataset supports the thesis entitled Experimentally Modelling Urban Air Pollution and Measuring Turbulent Dispersion AWARDED BY: Univeristy of Southampton DATE OF AWARD: 2025 DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA The folders containing data associated with the tall building chapter contains example mean and instantaneous flow fields, along with code showing how they can be viewed. The folders containing data for the city study, and PLIF validation chapters contain the .fig files of the graphs included in the thesis. These can be viewed in Matlab. In these cases raw data was not included as the raw datasets are large. All data was collected using Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Planar Laser Induced Fluorescence (PLIF) optical techniques. PIV data was preprocessed using Davis 10.2 and then post processed using Matlab code. PLIF data was processed fully using Matlab code. All data is viewable in Matlab, either as flow field data or as Matlab figures.
