Coping with change: EAP practitioners’ engagement in online Communities of Practice
The Covid-19 pandemic forced institutions to transition to online learning, requiring educators to adapt their teaching practices. English for Academic Purposes (EAP) practitioners, for instance, faced the challenge of shifting to an online format. They turned to various online communities of practice (OCoPs) for support, enabling them to exchange ideas, share resources, and seek guidance from peers facing similar challenges. This article examines the OCoPs engaged by these practitioners during the pandemic and their motivations.
