Abstract

In order to promote equitable and efficient allocation of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccines, the World Health Organization (WHO) Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization (WHO-SAGE-I) has published a 'Roadmap for Prioritizing Uses of COVID-19 Vaccines in the Context of Limited Supply', outlining which groups should be prioritized under various supply scenarios [1]. Healthcare workers (HCWs) at high or very high risk of acquiring and transmitting severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) are included in Stage I when supply is very limited.
