This is the response of a group of four academics in the field of linguistics who have been analysing the language of the manosphere since 2018. We have published widely on the topic (see an overview of our work here) and are keen to support Ofcom’s work on addressing this issue. The organisations involved are the University of Southampton, Lancaster University, University of Liverpool and Queen Mary University of London.
