READ ME File For 'Ultraviolet Laser Written Devices for Quantum Photonics' Dataset DOI: 10.5258/SOTON/D3543 ReadMe Author: Alexander Flint, University of Southampton, https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5103-0419 This dataset supports the thesis entitled 'Ultraviolet Laser Written Devices for Quantum Photonics' AWARDED BY: Univeristy of Southampton DATE OF AWARD: 2025 DESCRIPTION OF THE DATA This dataset contains data for the thesis "Ultraviolet Laser Written Devices for Quantum Photonics". This folder is split into chapters, where each subfolder contains the data for each figure in the thesis. Xlsx files are used where appropriate. In chapter 4, the data for figures 4.6-4.12 were previously published in http://eprints.soton.ac.uk/id/eprint/489046 and data can be found there. Where data is not readable, plotting code is provided. Chapter 3: Folders contain raw OSA scans with plotting code for viewing. To view code run plotter.py in the appropriate folder. Fig 3.1 raw OSA scans are presented in a spreadsheet. Chapter 4: Fig 4.13 folder contains .tiff files for the AFM scans labeled 1 and 20 kJ/cm^-2. Load using appropriate software. Fig 4.14 is presented in a spreadsheet with raw profiler data also provided. Figs 4.18, 4.19 and 4.21 show tunable laser scans for each waveguide. The data is recorded as insertion loss (IL) in dBs. Fig 4.20 shows the spreadsheet for the data collected for TE polarisation for the waveguides of length provided. Chapter 5: Figs 5.4-5.7 folders contain simulation data with plotting code provided, labeled with delta n of the grating. Figs 5.9-5.10 folder contains OSA scans. Plotting code provided. Chapter 6: Fig 6.4 contains a spreadsheet of the wavelength shift data. Fig 6.6 contains model files and plotting code for the laser modelling. Fig 6.10 contains a spreadsheet of the threshold plot. Fig 6.12 folder contains ESA data and plotting code. Figs 6.13-6.16 and Fig 6.17 contain time tagger histogram data and plotting code.
