Back-compatibility of hollow core fibers with SMF infrastructure
Back-compatibility of hollow core fibers with SMF infrastructure
Light propagating through an empty core of hollow core fibers experiences low-nonlinearity combined with low chromatic dispersion, broadband transmission, low back-scattering, and low signal propagation time. We will discuss challenges and solutions how to integrate them into current single-mode fiber (SMF)-based systems.

Abstract
Light propagating through an empty core of hollow core fibers experiences low-nonlinearity combined with low chromatic dispersion, broadband transmission, low back-scattering, and low signal propagation time. We will discuss challenges and solutions how to integrate them into current single-mode fiber (SMF)-based systems.
