Bend insensitive hollow core DNANF with SMF-matching mode field diameter and 125μm outer diameter for low loss direct interconnection in short reach applications

We present the first 125μm outer diameter hollow-core fibre with a 10.6μm mode-field diameter allowing direct low-loss splicing to G652 SMF. We demonstrate O-to-C-band transmission and bend-insensitive single-mode operation, attractive for low-latency sub-1km communications.
