Stable latency (hollow core) optical fibres

Light propagating through an optical fibre undergoes changes in group delay due to ambient temperature variations. This is detrimental in applications that are time-sensitive, including modern and next-generation telecom networks and infrastructures such as data centres. We review strategies to reduce this effect and in particular how emerging hollow core optical fibres can address this impairment.
