Standard penetration tests (SPTs) and triaxial shear strength tests in weathered mudstones
This data includes paired standard penetration tests (SPTs) and undrained unconsolidated triaxial shear strength tests obtained from weathered mudstones. These were obtained from a ground investigation in central England as part of the construction of the High Speed Two (HS2) railway between London and Birmingham. The data were obtained from a total length of 47 km of outcrops of the Oxford Clay Formation (Ancholme Group), Whitby Mudstone Formation (Lias Group) and Charmouth Mudstone Formation (Lias Group) .
