This dataset contains anonymised survey responses (CSV) and interview transcripts (PDF) collected from computer science instructors in the UK and Saudi Arabia between April 2024 and July 2024. The data support the doctoral thesis “Success Factors of E-Assessment in Computer Science for Higher Education: Perspectives from Instructors” (University of Southampton, 2025). Interviews offer in-depth qualitative perspectives on success factors, in terms of practical and pedagogical influences. while the the survey provides quantitative insights into adoption factors and practical challenges, Together, the dataset underpins analyses of e-assessment adoption, contextual variability, and the impact of digital assessment tools on coding education.
