READ ME File For 'Dataset supporting the thesis: An Investigation into Interoception as a Transdiagnostic Mechanism Underpinning Anxiety-Related Disorders' Dataset DOI: https://doi.org/10.5258/SOTON/D3750 ReadMe Author: Lucy Snell, University of Southampton, ORCID ID: 000-0002-5918-9894 This dataset supports the thesis entitled 'An Investigation into Interoception as a Transdiagnostic Mechanism Underpinning Anxiety-Related Disorders' AWARDED BY: University of Southampton DATE OF AWARD: 2025 Date of data collection: January 2024 - January 2025 Information about geographic location of data collection: International & Southampton, UK Licence: CC-BY -------------------- DATA & FILE OVERVIEW -------------------- This dataset contains the data collected from 305 participants. This includes self-report and behavioural measures from an adult sample collected as part of a study investigating the relationships between interoception, anxious traits, and symptom severity across multiple anxiety-related conditions. Each row represents an individual participant. Variables include demographic identifiers (site, participant ID), self-report questionnaire scores, and behavioural task indices derived from heartbeat perception paradigms (heartbeat counting and heartbeat detection tasks). Site 1 refers to data collected from lab-based participants, site 2 refers to data collected from online participants where data was collected via Qualtrics.
