Efficient wavelength conversion using triangular pulses generated using a superstructured fiber Bragg grating
The generation of picosecond triangular optical pulses is experimentally demonstrated using SSFBG technology. This shape provides a more than two-fold improvement in the performance of a wavelength-conversion scheme based on self-phase-modulation in fiber and offset-filtering.
