READ ME File For 'Dataset in support of the Southampton doctoral thesis 'E-textiles with embedded novel dry electrodes for wearable electrotherapy applications'' Dataset DOI: 10.5258/SOTON/D3807 ReadMe Author: Meijing Liu, University of Southampton ORCID ID 0000-0001-8334-7533 This dataset supports the thesis entitled E-textiles with embedded novel dry electrodes for wearable electrotherapy applications AWARDED BY: University of Southampton DATE OF AWARD: 2026 Date of data collection: Jan 2026 Information about geographic location of data collection: Licence: CC-BY-NC-ND Related projects/Funders: Wearable Textile with Integrated Electrotherapy and Sensing for Joint Pain Management Advanced e-textiles for wearable therapeutics -------------------- DATA & FILE OVERVIEW -------------------- This dataset contains: This dataset contains four main folders: 1. Fabink E0002 – contains experimental data and characterisation results related to the Fabink E0002 conductive ink formulation, including electrical performance and material evaluation results used in the study. 2. Fabink E0003 – contains experimental data and characterisation results for the Fabink E0003 conductive ink, including material evaluation results used in the study. 3. Knee sleeve design – contains design files, fabrication layouts, and supporting documentation for the knee sleeve garment used in the study. 4. Stroke sleeve design – contains design files and supporting documentation for the upper-limb (stroke rehabilitation) sleeve prototype. Relationship between files, if important for context: The Fabink E0002 and E0003 folders contain material-level characterisation data that informed the conductive layer selection used in both garment designs. The Knee sleeve design and Stroke sleeve design folders contain the corresponding garment design files that implement these materials for different application scenarios. Additional related data collected that was not included in the current data package: Participant-related data from garment trials If data was derived from another source, list source: The data were generated by the author and were not derived from any external or third-party datasets. If there are there multiple versions of the dataset, list the file updated, when and why update was made: This is the first and only version of the dataset. No previous versions have been released. -------------------------- METHODOLOGICAL INFORMATION -------------------------- Description of methods used for collection/generation of data: Data were generated during material evaluation and garment design activities conducted as part of the OA-Tex research project. Methods for processing the data: Raw data were reviewed and organised into structured folders. Only relevant and curated files are included in the final dataset. Software- or Instrument-specific information needed to interpret the data, including software and hardware version numbers:Standard laboratory and design software were used. No specialised or proprietary software is required to interpret the dataset. Environmental/experimental conditions:All work was conducted under standard indoor laboratory conditions. People involved with sample collection, processing, analysis and/or submission:Data were collected and curated Dr Meijing Liu under supervision. Date that the file was created: Jan, 2026
