Preskett TITLE: Effect of pressure gradient histories on turbulence characteristics of turbulent boundary layers over smooth and rough walls Type: Thesis Links to other publicly accessible locations of the data: Links/relationships to ancillary or related data sets: DATA & FILE OVERVIEW This file contains the pressure and HWA data for both smooth and rough walls under different pressure gradient histories. This dataset contains the following folders and files: Mean_Cp_Data_SW – Contains both the mean Cp and dCp/d(x/c) at h = 0.4 and 0.5 m, the h value is given in the file name for the smooth wall data. The data is averaged across all speeds, along with the position of each tap relative to the leading edge of the aerofoil at 6.53m. Mean_Cp_Data_RW – Contains both the mean Cp and dCp/d(x/c) at h = 0.4 and 0.5 m, the h value is given in the file name for the rough wall data. The data is averaged across all speeds, along with the position of each tap relative to the leading edge of the aerofoil at 6.53m. Smooth Wall (h = 0.5 m) – Contains 5 folders for each angle of attack tested at h = 0.5 m. Inside each folder are 3 speeds (10, 20 and 30 m/s) given in the filename, with two files for each speed. The first is a summary file which contains a dictionary with the following keys corresponding to the nomenclature used in the thesis: 'rho', 'T', 'nu', 'rho_mean', 'T_mean', 'nu_mean', 'tsdaq', 'fdaq', 'delta', 'theta', 'H', 'Re_theta', 'Re_tau', 'Uplus', 'Cf', 'kappa', 'U99', 'U_mean', 'y_array', 'P0', 'P0_mean', 'Uinf', 'Uinf_mean', 'deltastar', 'uu', 'Utau', 'yplus', 'U/U99', 'y/delta', 'Pi' The second is the file containing the full HWA signal which can be used for spectra etc: 'fdaq', 'tsdaq', 'rho', 'T', 'nu', 'U_raw', 'U_mean', 'Uinf', 'y_array', 'P0' All dimensional variables are given in SI units, ie m, m/s, kg/m3 etc Rough Wall (h = 0.5 m) – Contains 5 folders for each angle of attack tested at h = 0.5 m. Inside each folder are 5 speeds (10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 m/s) given in the filename, with two files for each speed.
