DRoP: Experimental A/V Installation + Sonic Art + DJ Set
DRoP: Experimental A/V Installation + Sonic Art + DJ Set
DRoP is an experimental audio-visual installation using the qualities of light, A/V projections, sonic art, music and interactions to transform the iconic WSA Rotunda. Drawing inspiration from elements of the building and its watery surroundings.
Reflecting on an often-overlooked element of WSA’s history, our alumni. Many of whom have successful careers working with sound and music. Brian Eno, Gruff Rhys, Haroon Mirza and Sebastiane Hegarty, for example.
Using DRoP as a platform, we hope to develop opporutnities for a social space, something WSA is lacking. Where our students, staff and the wider community can come together in a creative social setting which fosters communication, provokes ideas and just maybe inspires a little dancing!
