kW-level infrared microchip lasers for UV and visible light generation
kW-level infrared microchip lasers for UV and visible light generation
We present results of visible light generation in periodically-poled lithium niobate (PPLN) using kW-level infrared microchip lasers at 1064nm and 1313nm, with up to 67% conversion efficiency to 532nm. We believe that these devices are ideally suited as light sources for a novel nonlinear-wavemixing near-to-eye display technology.

Abstract
We present results of visible light generation in periodically-poled lithium niobate (PPLN) using kW-level infrared microchip lasers at 1064nm and 1313nm, with up to 67% conversion efficiency to 532nm. We believe that these devices are ideally suited as light sources for a novel nonlinear-wavemixing near-to-eye display technology.
