In doing this, arguments from a range of areas of HR, including Strategic Human Resource Management, Employee Engagement, Human Capital Management and Strategic Reward Management, are drawn together. As a result of this analysis a more broad-based view of reward is proposed which can build employee engagement and thus contribute to enhanced organisational performance.
Suggestions are made for research to test the proposed model and the research note concludes with a review of the practical implications of the total reward strategy proposed.
