Acoustic emissions from tribological contacts
Acoustic emissions from tribological contacts
This article summarises the results from studies of metal sliding contacts under both dry and oil-lubricated conditions where acoustic emissions have been used to monitor the contact conditions. The research focuses on looking for direct links between surface changes and acoustic emission signals.
