The politics of friendship
This discussion examines the relationship between the "diaspora" and the "homeland," suggesting ways in which disapora communities can show forms of support and solidarity that remain critical and reflective rather than simply bolstering of attitudes at home. It also looks at spatial practices within the history of the Jewish diaspora in order to open up new relationships to political contexts in the era of globalisation.

Abstract

This discussion examines the relationship between the "diaspora" and the "homeland," suggesting ways in which disapora communities can show forms of support and solidarity that remain critical and reflective rather than simply bolstering of attitudes at home.
