All-fibre DFB laser WDM transmitters with integrated pump redundancy
Pump failure safe 8 and 16 channel WDM transmitter arrays based on all-fibre DFB lasers are demonstrated. Each WDM channel in the modules remain in operation despite the drop out of several pump diodes.
