Quality considerations of chirped fibre Bragg gratings for dispersion compensation in WDM systems
Quality considerations of chirped fibre Bragg gratings for dispersion compensation in WDM systems
We evaluate the effect of imperfections both in long broadband fibre gratings and in cascades of shorter devices for multi-channel dispersion compensation. Similar performance levels are observed; the effect on transmission is predicted to be constant across the operational bandwidth.
