Multi-watt room-temperature diode-bar pumped Tm:YAG and intracavity-pumped Ho:YAG lasers
Efficient room-temperature operation of a Tm:YAG laser end-pumped by a beam-shaped 20W diode-bar is reported, delivering 4.1W of TEM00 output power. A Ho:YAG laser, intracavity-pumped by the Tm:YAG laser, produced up to 2.1W output power at 2.1µm for 9.2W of diode-pump power incident on the Tm:YAG rod.
