Efficient cladding pumped Er3+/Yb3+-doped fibre amplifier and bending effect in cladding pumping scheme
We present efficient operation of a double clad Er3+/Yb3+ fibre with efficiency in excess of 40%. Small signal gain of 33dB and saturation output in excess of 23dBm have been obtained. Bending effect is discussed.
