Diode pumped, high energy, single transverse mode Q-switch fibre laser
The authors report the generation of 180µJ, 3.6kW peak power pulses from a simple, diode-pumped large mode erbium doped fibre Q-switch laser system. This is believed to be the highest energy ever obtained from a single transverse mode fibre laser system.
