Increased amplifier spacing in a soliton system with partial dispersion compensation
We demonstrate by computer simulations that the use of chirped fibre gratings allows us to increase the amplifier spacing to 100 km in a 40 Gb/s soliton transmission system with bit error rate below 10-9 for 7500 km.
