Economically active population estimates and projections (5th edition, revision 2009)

Economically active population estimates and projections (5th edition, revision 2009)
Economically active population estimates and projections (5th edition, revision 2009)
The database contains world, regional and country estimates and projections of the total population, the activity rates and the economically active population (labour force) by sex and five-year age groups (from 15 to 64 years and 65 years and over).
The update of the 5th edition shows estimates from 1980 to 2008 and projections to 2020. Please note that due to updated information (new UN population projections and estimates on activity rates up to 2008), the results of the updated 5th edition may be different from those previously disseminated for the same year/country for both the total estimates and the projections.
These estimates and projections are for international comparisons and are neither superior nor necessarily inferior to national estimates and projections, which are produced using country-specific additional information. This additional information is (a) not necessarily available to us for all countries and/or (b) different between countries and so would make international comparability difficult.
